Aquile
The Aquile bank is called like this
because it’s easy to meet, in some periods of the year, many Spotted
Eagle Rays that often swimming about the bank cap at about – 24 mt.
This bank perimeter is characterized by walls that fall vertically
toward the depth. The most beautiful part to be explored is the one
turned toward Elba, very coloured, full of life and often frequented
by Greater fork-beard, Ombres and Dentex, even if Morays and
Lobsters, usual diving mates in the Mediterranean, lack. Here the
current is often very strong till making the diving very difficult
or also impossible.
