22. Calvo Cape

At about 8 miles to East of Marina di Campo, next to Calvo Cape Point, there is one of the most blooming Red Sea Fans expanse, as matter of fact swimming over a Posidonia meadow and a slide that we will look at during the going back up, we slope down immediately to -25 mt on a sandy mixed depth, where we find different rocks completely covered by big and blooming Paramuricee fans. From -35 mt, around the same rocks, the spectacle is going on with thick Red Sea Fans and Yellow Sponges, the scenery is so spectacular that many species of big fishes can pass unnoticed , even if in certain period of the year there are many Dories and Sunfishes that make frame for an extremely charming scene.
