31. Santa Lucia Bank

Between Bianco Cape Point and Acqua Viva Point, about 800 mt far from the coast, there is Santa Lucia Bank. The cap is at about -9 mt and the bank has a limited maximum depth that makes this diving site opened to any diving preparation. The depth is characterized by three rocks of different size presence, the principal that usually is used as mooring point is the biggest, its North/East side is characterized by a vertical fall where the big splits, less exposed to the light, are covered by very thick Parazoanthus and Bryozoa colonies. The ichthyic scenery is really various, besides Congers and Morays that populate many holes or gorges there are also big schools of Saddled Breams and Sargos and sometimes, depending on the current, you can find a school of Barracuda.
