The Elba Island is part of the National Park
of the Tuscan Archipelago, the biggest Marine Park in the Mediterranean
Sea and in Europe, it safeguards 56.766 hectares of sea and 17.887
hectares of land. It includes all the principal seven islands of
the Tuscan Archipelago and some small islands and rocks.
Like the pearls of a necklace, every single island is different
from the others.
Each island preserves its history traces, each island is unique,
original, with only a common tract : the beauty of its nature.
Next will be the establishment of the Protected Marine Area (AMP),
that will have the aim of safeguarding and improving the environment
that today is unique and that deserves to be preserved, permitting
to the visitors of observing its patrimonies with the consciousness
of being in an area of particular naturalistic and biological interest.
